Summary: We are currently going through a "murky" stage as far as human rights are concerned. The growing subjugation of these rights to interests of various kinds, justified by broad and influential sectors of the international arena, is a cause for concern. The rights of foreigners in Spain are one of the most controversial issues in recent years, which is not surprising if we take into account the exponential increase in the number of foreigners in Spain. The regulation and guarantee of their rights is therefore an issue of extraordinary legal and social importance. Their protection is guaranteed by the Spanish Constitution of 1978 and by the various specialized regulations that complement and qualify it in this area, such as Law 4/2000, of January 11, 2000, on the rights and freedoms of foreigners in Spain and their social integration. This publication is an analysis and reflection of this reality.
